My Month of Good Deeds: Helping Those You Work With

I work in a place where teamwork and cooperation are taught, but not necessarily followed. It is very easy to get caught up in a tailspin of selfishness.  Sometimes you need to go out of your way and help those with which you work so closely on a daily basis. Get out of your comfort zone. Get out of your cubicle. Get out of your office. Get out of wherever it is you behave selfishly and help your colleagues. You know there are people you work with who need help. And you know you have that help to give.

Try these:

  1. Help with a project/assignment/presentation
  2. Help move furniture
  3. Help with some computer program that you are know like the back of your hand
  4. Help them carry things to and from their car
  5. Bring in leftovers and share them with your colleagues.

What are some other ways you have helped your colleagues?

I'm a regular guy with a regular job. I write for fun, self-reflection and to possibly impart some of my thoughts on those that will listen. I do not claim to be an expert on anything, but have opinions on many things.
