Snow days….they’re very funny. They show up without much advanced notice. They keep you in your pajamas all day. They force you to eat crappy. They are the the wrench in my New Year’s resolution.
Snow days….and weekends!
Here’s how it went down….I went back to work for one day last week, and a pretty big snow storm hit the North East and kept me from work for the remainder of the week. I’m not complaining…
I can say this honestly: I eat healthier when I’m at work. And…according to my new app…I take more steps when I’m at work. I don’t know what I’m averaging, but during the one day I worked last week, I took 10,187 steps. I only took 6,840 steps today.
Although I try to eat healthier when I’m home, it just doesn’t happen. I’m great in the morning, but it all falls apart by 9:30 AM. That is the beginning of the feast. Also, we still have a lot of goodies around the house because of the holidays. I hate seeing things go to waste, so I’ll treat myself.
I swear…with vacation officially over and no snow days in sight, I’m going to eat healthier. This time I mean it.
